Since 1964, the building has been used as a chiropody clinic. Yvonne Timms, Chiropodist/Podiatrist has returned to the centre and has an excellent local reputation. She took over the business in January 2015 and has steadily been improving both the premises and services provided. Word is spreading in the local community about the excellent level of care provided and friendly, yet professional ethos of the clinic.

Therapies currently on offer include chiropody/podiatry, acupuncture,  physiotherapy, sports massage and holistic therapies, including reflexology, reiki, aromatherapy and beauty therapies.

Chiropody/Podiatry are now also being offered within EyeCo Opticians by Yvonne. She is currently available on Fridays but we hope to expand to other days in the near future. Details and a link can be found at the bottom of this page.

Acupuncture is a system of healing which has developed over thousands of years in China and other eastern countries. The ancient Chinese discovered that the stimulation of points on particular areas of the body affected organ function and cured disease.

Chiropodists treat the more commonly known foot problems such as corns, calluses, verrucae and nail problems. Podiatrists (originally an American term) are known as ‘foot doctors’, dealing with sports injuries, orthotics and biomechanical (walking and running) problems.

Reiki (pronounced ray-key), which is Japanese for "Universal Healing Energy," is a form of natural healing, discovered during the nineteenth century by Mikao Usui.

The Chartered Physiotherapist will conduct a thorough examination of the nature and actual site of the problem and relate it to your whole person before making a diagnosis. After consultation with you and, where appropriate, with your GP, the Chartered Physiotherapist will decide upon the best form of treatment that is to be undertaken.

Aromatherapy is the art of blending and using essential plant oils to benefit health. Essential oils form the life force of plants.

Massage can help clients who are suffering from the effects of tension to relax. The type of massage given depends on the client's reason for having treatment. Many painful conditions, such as backache, neck and shoulder pain and headaches can be relieved.

Reflexology is an ancient healing art which deals with the principle that all organs, glands and other body parts have corresponding reflexes in the feet.

Sports Massage

A sports massage brings many benefits including rehabilitation from injury, and having this kind of massage on a regular basis can also prevent further injury.

It is available to men and women who may be experienced athletes or are new to exercise and physical activity, as well as people who have been injured at work or during other activities.

We offer a range of beauty therapies to suit your needs, and help improve your self confidence and feeling of well being.
